Best way to manage multiple generations

Some expert tips that Cissy Pau, principal consultant of Clear HR Consulting, shared on how to meet the challenges of managing multiple generations included:

  • Ask new employees about what motivates them, how they like to communicate and what rewards they find meaningful;
  • Ask older workers to mentor newer employees to forge bonds between the generation; and
  • Be careful not to come across as asking older employees to pass on their expertise so someone younger can take over their job.
